FAIRY’S UNDERPANTS FOUND IN SPARE ROOM CUPBOARD
An English lecturer from Froghill College was flabbergasted to find that a world-famous rock star once lived at his house.
Jasper Marsh, 58, has discovered that Brian Fairy, of legendary glamsters Poxy Music, was undoubtedly resident at his Swansdike address in the early 70’s.
Mr Marsh, who is putting his house up for sale, was looking through the ownership deeds when he noticed a reference to the bequiffed art-school warbler.
Fairy is described as being "in occupation" during the period that the band was enjoying the first flushes of success with their single Virginia Ham.
Mr Marsh said: "It's really exciting news. It’s clear from the dates on the deeds that Brian Fairy lived in the house immediately prior to me.
"When I first moved in, back in 1973, I came across a pair of used silk boxer shorts in the spare room cupboard.
"Somehow or other, I never got around to throwing them out.
“And thank the Lord I didn’t, as they obviously must have belonged to Mr Fairy himself!"
Asked what he would do with the celebrated underwear, Mr Marsh replied that he was as yet unsure.
"I am as yet unsure," he said.
I can't make up my mind whether to put them up for auction on ebay or donate them to a sperm bank."
